Subbayya Gari Hotel is the brain child of Shree Subbayya garu. His unique ability to combine ingredients in a perfect proportion using the finest and freshest ingredients made him bring out the best taste of traditional food of the land. Mr. Subbayya's passion towards bringing the delicious and hygienic food at an affordable cost made him to streamline his efforts to open a mess. Ultimately, in 1950, with the support staff of 10 people, he opened a small mess and started serving meals for just 50 paisa.
Later In 1955, Mr. Subbayya had moved the mess to Kakinada, a town in East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh and named it as Sri Krishna Vilas. His immense efforts, home-like hospitality and of course the love for the art of cooking soon spread far & wide and this tiny mess evolved into the legendary Subbayya Gari Hotel.
Know More'Vindu Bhojanam' is the South Indian Thali with 30+ authentic and traditional vegetarian dishes is served traditionally on the green banana leaf with the original ghee which takes you back to the good olden days where this thali would be considered as the royal and luxurious thali and is served only on the occasions.
All the dishes in Vindu Bhojanam like Pindi vantalu, Burelu, Khaja, chutneys, pickles, curries, flavored rice, white rice, sambhar, rasam, curd, papad, etc., are cooked with the right amount of lip-smacking spices that leave you asking for more.
