Subbayya Gari Hotel — the best veg restaurant in AP — is the brainchild of Shree Subbayya garu. His unique ability to blend fresh, local ingredients in perfect proportion brought out the true taste of traditional Andhra food. Driven by his passion for serving delicious and hygienic vegetarian meals at affordable prices, he opened his first mess in 1950, offering meals for just 50 paisa with a team of 10.
By 1955, Mr. Subbayya moved the mess to Kakinada, East Godavari District, naming it Sri Krishna Vilas. His love for cooking, home-style hospitality, and dedication quickly turned that small mess into the legendary Subbayya Gari Hotel, now celebrated as the best veg restaurant in Andhra Pradesh.
